Instructions for Banana Sale

Check your local grocer to see if you can buy a large amount of bananas at a discount. Or go to a broker or wholesaler in your area and arrange ahead of time to have him order several bunches of bananas for you. You will then sell the bananas by the pound. Put a large ad in the newspaper or direct mail:

WE’VE GONE BANANAS!” Include a picture of bananas beside the ad and a picture of monkeys representing the employees and manager. Then illustrate the merchandise to be used as a draw. Have a number of useful and popular items featured. This will get the customers in, and once in the store, they will probably buy other non-sale items as well.

You might contact your local printer or newspaper about having Banana Sale stickers made. Everything with a banana sticker is marked down. If you really want to go wild, borrow a monkey from a pet shop and watch the fun!
