I was in Old Mexico and a small boy asked me if he could give us something FREE. Of course, we fell for it and followed him into a small shop where he said, “Here it is: a FREE LOOK. You folks have been so good to me, I am going to give you two FREE LOOKS!” We ended up buying a sombrero hat from him, as he was a real salesman. He was around 9 years old and he knew more about selling than most so-called salesmen.
Do not just advertise something FREE without giving customers something…possibly one of your advertising pens or a similar item just for coming into your store.

One restaurant advertised, “Buy one meal and get one FREE”. With your own twist, this promotion can be made to fit your business on most any of these promotions.

A grocery store advertised 10 pounds of potatoes FREE just for shopping in their store. (Get them into your store and they will buy something). Or buy 100 pounds of potatoes. Sack them yourselves and save $$. Also they advertised a carton of eggs for 1 cent. It works!

TRY SOME OF THESE AND YOU WILL FIND SOME REAL DOOR BUSTERS

Do something even if you find out later it doesn’t work, as you can really learn a lot from your mistakes.

Henry Ford made mistakes but kept trying, and came up with the production line. You might surprise yourself with what you can come up with.
